White Whale exists to strengthen leadership, governance, and fundraising structure inside mission-driven organizations.
That belief did not come from theory. It came from decades of working alongside founders, boards, executive teams, and philanthropic leaders navigating growth in real time — including directing and producing high-stakes signature fundraising efforts where leadership clarity made the difference between pressure and performance.
We saw capable organizations doing extraordinary work — yet stuck in cycles of reinvention. Fundraising succeeded, but often because a few individuals carried everything. When leadership changed, momentum reset.
We learned that fundraising problems are rarely about effort.
They are about structure.
The firm was built to change that — not by taking control, but by helping organizations build clarity, continuity, and sustainable growth from within.
Working with us should feel steady, thoughtful, and aligned.
We strengthen governance, leadership accountability, and fundraising strategy before designing signature fundraising experiences.
We take real complexity off your team’s plate — guiding decision-making, structuring growth, anticipating risk, and leading execution — while ensuring leadership remains informed and confident throughout the process.
We do not remove organizations from the work.
We help them lead it well.
That is how fundraising becomes strategic rather than reactive — and how signature moments become catalysts rather than annual stress points.
Our work sits at the intersection of strategic growth and signature fundraising.
Through White Whale Advisory, we guide governance alignment, leadership development, and sustainable fundraising strategy.
Through White Whale Signature, we design and lead high-impact fundraising experiences — directing program strategy, production leadership, and on-site execution so that the event reflects institutional strength rather than compensates for its absence.
Strategy comes first.
Signature follows by design.
Our measure of success is not the night of an event.
It is what remains.
Our work builds clarity, shared understanding, and leadership confidence so organizations do not just execute successful fundraising — they learn how to lead it.
Decisions are documented.
Roles are clarified.
Knowledge is retained.
Teams understand not only what worked — but why.
• Stronger governance alignment
• Clear leadership accountability in fundraising
• Sustainable fundraising strategy & structure
• Signature fundraising experiences professionally led and structurally aligned
• Institutional knowledge that survives leadership transition
These outcomes are not incidental.
They are the purpose of our work.
Staff and boards change. Institutional knowledge should not disappear with them.
Every engagement includes the development of a Tribal Workbook™ — living, evolving playbook designed to preserve strategy, decisions, and institutional context over time.
It captures:
• Fundraising strategy and long-term growth direction
• Governance and leadership roles
• Decision-making rationale
• Vendor and partner relationships
• Donor and sponsor engagement insights
• Lessons learned across cycles
When leadership shifts — as it inevitably does — signature fundraising does not reset.
It evolves.
White Whale was founded by Marco Fields, whose work spans decades at the intersection of philanthropy, stewardship, fundraising, leadership, and institutional growth.
Throughout her career, Marco has served in senior executive, advisory, and stewardship roles alongside founders, executive teams, boards, philanthropic families, and community leaders navigating growth, complexity, legacy, and organizational transformation.
Her experience includes governance advisory, organizational leadership, wealth stewardship, philanthropy strategy, and the design and execution of high-impact fundraising initiatives that have helped mission-driven organizations strengthen capacity, build sustainability, and expand impact.
Working across both the ultra-high-net-worth philanthropic and nonprofit sectors has provided Marco with a unique perspective on how leadership, resources, relationships, and stewardship shape meaningful change.
She has helped guide organizational growth, steward significant philanthropic investments, support complex charitable decision-making, and contribute to the long-term impact and legacy of individuals, families, and institutions across generations.
Over time, this work established Marco as a trusted advisor and advocate for stronger leadership, more intentional philanthropy, and a deeper understanding of how organizations, philanthropists, and communities work together to create lasting impact.
The firm was built around a belief that meaningful change is rarely created through strategy alone, but through relationships, trust, clarity, and long-term stewardship.
That belief continues to shape not only White Whale Partners, but the broader philanthropic vision that surrounds its work today.
Throughout her career, Marco observed a consistent truth:
Women often played a defining role in shaping philanthropic impact.
They stewarded relationships.
Championed causes.
Influenced giving decisions.
Built community.
And increasingly, became leaders in philanthropy themselves.
As the largest wealth transfer in history places unprecedented resources, influence, and decision-making power into the hands of women, that reality is becoming impossible to ignore.
Women are not simply participating in philanthropy. They are increasingly shaping its future.
Recognizing this shift, Marco saw an opportunity to support not only the organizations creating impact, but also the women increasingly shaping the future of philanthropy itself.
That vision led to the evolution of Moxxy Women—a leadership platform advancing the power and impact of women's philanthropy through education, thought leadership, community, and connection.
While White Whale Partners helps mission-driven organizations strengthen leadership, governance, and sustainable fundraising capacity, Moxxy Women helps women understand, engage in, and lead philanthropy more intentionally and effectively.
Together, they represent two sides of the same belief:
Strong organizations and engaged philanthropic leaders create stronger communities.
Moxxy Women was created to help advance both.
